Bobby entered the shop in the early morning hoping to indulge himself in all that is BruCo. The problem was all the lights were off and not one machine was humming as they normally did. Bobby checked his watch, that was if it was infused to his wrist, and made sure it was in fact a weekday. MONDAY
was written out in small bold print, the time prior to the sun’s arrival.
He had made sure the night before to set his clock back an hour in order not to miss anything caused by the time change! Bobby checked his calendar for any major holidays he may have not know of after 54 years of living. The calendar didn’t show any sign of a specific holiday and the internet only spoke of National Kansas Day which sounded delightful, if he lived there.
Bobby then felt a gust of wind and the smell of homemade French Toast burst through the factory. His eyes fluttered awake and looking to his watch he saw that his dream was only stress over the extra hour he was getting. Bobby never took time changes well. He went to the kitchen to see his kids were already eating breakfast so early in the morning. He looked around quizzically, for the bus doesn’t come for another couple hours. Bobby grabbed his things and breakfast to go, wondering if he was somehow still in his dream. When he pulled up to BruCo all the cars were already lining the building and some of his coworkers were even early! Bobby walked in, to see the machines pushing out parts as if they have for hours and when he looked to the clock on the wall, he noticed it was 2 hours ahead of his own.
Bobby, confused, rushed up to the foreman who joked about Bobby not having to endure the hour less of sleep. Not quite understanding, Bobby gawked at everyone being there so early. That’s when he was informed that he was in fact two hours late himself and the time change was the opposite of what he thought it to be. A bubbling of giggles came to the surface as Bobby realized what he had done.
Moral of the story, don’t be like Bobby.
Hopefully, you had turned those watches 1 hour ahead and made it to work on time, unlike Mr. Bobby BruCo.
